You can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make it drink
– John Heywood
One thing that was incredibly daunting to me recently is that everyone has their own life. It’s actually kind of mind blowing how we’re all on this planet together but we also have individual sets of problems that we must deal with. We are all enjoying life in our own way and we all have our own perspective on what life is and how we should live it. However, with each person we learn to connect with on a positive level, we learn how to make life better. Sometimes, we learn to make life better by learning to make our own life better.
My current perspective is that we need to accept our own individual situation for what it is so that we can adapt our behaviours that make it better. Essentially, it is to be content with our reality but to also know that with incremental improvement and growth that life will indeed get better but we have to be conscious of the warning signs.
When I say warning signs, it means the things keep happening that really affect your stress levels. Normally, when we are stressed out, we tend to make decisions and take action from that place, which causes more problems in the future. We have to look back to not stop ourselves from doing what we think must be done, otherwise, you may end up in a state of crisis like me.
I’ve seen a lot of people continually ignore the problems that they are facing on a daily basis and from my experience, it’s impossible to ignore these problems long term. While there may be people who may end up helping you out, ultimately, the decision to take action or not take action is what makes life better. I find that personally, there is only so much people can do for me to achieve health, success and happiness and what I need to do is to ensure that my life is continually getting better with my own actions.
One key that I found successful is to make a decision on what to do and understand what you don’t want. When I understood what I don’t know, I began steering my life away from that direction towards what I do want. While there isn’t a way to not deal with problems, we do have a decision on what kind of problems we want to solve and as we continually solve problems, life will get better. Once we learn to manage ourselves mentally, we will, in turn, learn to take actions to change the trajectory of our life for the better.
Until the next post, thank you for reading! As always, wishing you love and success!
